I do see more and more &lt;em&gt;devsigners&lt;/em&gt; out there.  And they usually are not in the elearning space as they can make big cash in other industries.&lt;/p&gt;

In theory, I love the idea of a framework, but it requires a certain amount of graphic design talent in order to keep the applications fresh and interesting -- and we lack it in-house and we (the royal "we" not "me" so much) are only beginning to realize the impacts of not having that kind of skill at our ready.&lt;/p&gt;

Generally the solution had to be already developed and functional as they had no interest in paying for any new concepts, yet want full ownership of the code afterwards.&lt;/p&gt;
