“…A colleague has asked wether it is possible to host pod-casts on our LMS. My question is; is it possible to SCORM-wrap mp3 files so that they will launch from an LMS and be tracked in a similar way to a piece of e-learning.”
The simple answer to this is: yes. You can certainly package .mp3 files so they will launch from an LMS. The LMS natively can track anything that is requested, and so your .mp3 files will be tracked. Any file that can be launched by the web browser is valid for SCORM content packaging.
